Reimagining and democratising the design, implementation and life-cycle management of smart building systems and applications (Part 1)

What is needed is a technology that can handle the diversity of smart building systems and applications, data and processes, but at the same time is simple enough to implement and operate. We have been working on this problem for over a decade and have developed a “revolutionary technology that changes everything”: that is, by making smart buildings composable.

Composability is a system concept that has been successfully adopted by data centers and next generation IT infrastructure. Composable solutions are created by assembling solutions from reusable components that can be programmatically combined in different ways. Our Lucy smart technology for buildings and workplaces, is composable and converts silo building systems and applications into plug and play “Lego” components and then automates the integration and life-cycle management of these components.

We have implemented our Lucy composable smart technology in buildings and workplaces for some of the most iconic projects in the world

Lucy Models provide the building blocks for implementing Digital Twins of a Workspace, Smart Building, or an entire Smart City.

Over the last decade, we have implemented and proven the benefits of our Lucy technology, in over 400-million square feet of smart building systems and applications projects across 20 countries. The technology is versatile and highly scalable as shown by the following project examples:

Smart Workspace

A future-proof Smart Workspace for a UK multinational that integrates IAQ, occupancy, room booking and energy metering. The solution optimises comfort, health and well-being and energy efficiency.

Building Portfolio

A Smart Facility Management solution for a portfolio of commercial, retail, and residential buildings for a leading Singapore property owner. The deployment, which integrates multiple BMS, and IoT with an Enterprise Service Desk was done in few months at a fraction of the cost of traditional offerings.

Smart Precinct

On the other end of the scale, a Smart Precinct for a global Australian developer where precinct-wide building systems as well as the infrastructure like street lighting, car park, digital signage and solar energy systems are managed as plug and play components.

Smart City

Taking the scale further, a complete Smart City for a 500 sq kilometer city for 1.5 million citizens where citizen services are integrated to the city’s infrastructure.

We are now ready to our take our Lucy technology global! However, rather than just sell technology, we are seeking to reimagine and democratise composable smart technology for buildings and workplaces, and the entire smart building systems and applications value chain including design, implementation, and lifecycle management through the unique concept of a “Composable Marketplace”.
